I’ve been working with the marketing department at Durango Motor Company to think outside the box when it comes to producing this year’s television commercials. The most recent spot features a 2016 Kia Sorento during a girls “glamping” and SUP Boarding trip to Haviland Lake, north of Durango, Colorado. This commercial involved a few more logistics than normal, including applying for a Forest Service permit in the Columbine Ranger District, rigging a homemade canopy and procuring all the props necessary for a successful glamping trip, and finally snagging a camping spot for filming at the highly popular Haviland Lake campground.
