Ziems Ford Corners Christmas

Keesee Motor Company

Filmed on a beautiful ranch property south of Cortez, Colorado this commercial will undoubtedly tug on the heart strings. Keesee Motor Company asked me to write a script and produce a spot featuring a father and son on a fishing trip. Contrary to the modern style of packing as many shots into thirty seconds as possible, I decided to slow down the pace of the script, and instead, focus on the emotional connection between father and son and the scenic beauty of the location. We also decided to go with no music to provide a sense of peace and calm. While shooting, I captured natural sound of the environment to form the soundtrack for the spot. As in this case, sometimes less is more, and the lack of a music track, draws audience attention almost more effective than any loud music track.

Ziems Ford

A genius mind in the Ziems Ford Corners marketing department came up with an idea to play on the madness of the political season by deciding to produce this hilarious script for a pre-owned vehicles into a television commercial. This concept was a great way to play on the stereotype of the used car salesman and to show by contrast how Ziems Ford takes its pre-owned car sales very seriously, seriously enough to produce a commercial as funny as this one. The timelapse in this commercial captures just the beginning of an actual, very long and very detailed inspection process preformed by the a member of the Ziems team, so I can personally attest to the rigorous process that the company places on verifying the quality of its vehicles. Hopefully this commercial will make the last stretch of this political season a little more bearable by bringing out a laugh or two along the way.

Mikasa Japanese Cuisine

I had the pleasure of working with Andy Chen of Mikasa Japanese Cuisine to produce a fall television commercial to coincide with football season. Although Asian cuisine and American football might seem like an odd pairing, this restaurant’s delivery and take out options make Mikasa a great place to get the hook up for food and snacks for the game. The restaurant is conveniently located in downtown Farmington, New Mexico along Main Avenue. If you don’t have much time for lunch, it’s a great place to stop in for a quick bite to eat. The restaurant offers Hibachi dishes, traditional Chinese cuisine as well as sushi an sashimi. If you’re looking for a tasty snack platter for the game, why not change out the potato skins and poppers for something even more mouth watering!
