The mountains were at their peak autumn colors the day Brian and Ashley said their “I-dos” at Gorrono Ranch in Telluride, Colorado. Wispy low-hanging clouds added an incredible dramatic effect to the vibrant mountainous scenery. Light rain came in a out during the day, but the lobby of the Peaks resort in Mountain Village served as the perfect indoor space for a photo shoot with Ashley and her daughters. After meeting the guys for a pre-wedding dart shootout, the light rain lifted as if by the command of the wedding planning gods, just in time for the ceremony. What a beautiful day! The owner of the newly permitted Hermosa Orchards Village Tiny Home Park wanted to put out the word about available lots on social media. After investing in the planning and infrastructure of the park, it was critical get the 20+ lots filled within the year. This park has one of the most beautiful locations, but it was still a challenge to shoot it mostly vacant, and still convey what the park offers when its fully occupied. We used a combination of area aerials footage showing the neighborhood and park location, with close-ups of the first tiny home residential lots.
There’s nothing like parading down Colorado Avenue in Telluride Colorado on your wedding day. Incredible mountain views to the east perfectly framed by historic buildings. Adventurer’s congratulating the newly weds as they walk the center of the road. It is a one-of-a-kind wedding experience, and sure to be a memory that last’s long after this beautiful wedding day. Our production company was tapped to provide a full production crew for this full day shoot for FirstNet, built by AT&T, the nation’s first high-speed, wireless broadband network for first responders. It was a privilege to work with Fire Chief Bruce Evans and his team at the Upper Pine River Fire District to capture the first-hand stories of first responders right here in La Plata County.
EMS professionals are called to help people at some of the most difficult moments in their lives, and FirstNet has taken the initiative to help these heroes maintain their mental wellness in the face of what they see and hear on a daily basis. Our Director of Photography, Producer and Production Assistant coordinated with a remote producer at FirstNet on the shoot day, to capture broadcast quality footage of these important stories.
We also worked with the EMS team to recreate several first response scenes, and finally shipped the footage out next day to the internal editing team at FirstNet headquarters. Thanks to FirstNet for sharing the final product with us, and taking initiative on mental health in EMS.
